OK, I know the answer to this is probably quite obvious but I can't find it /can't figure it out. Partial mental burn out, partial simple mind.
I am using MM5 to edit Metadata and Album Art for my iPod Classic. I know not to have iTunes & MM5 run at the same time (Windows 10 PC), and have checked/un-checked iTunes settings per MM instructions.
I make changes and save them in MM5 but they are not carrying over to the iPod. Since I am editing directly into the iPod I assume there shouldn't be a need to sync Library > iPod device.
Disclosure: I did hit Sync on 1-2 occasions to see if that would work.
Note that I did the editing previously in MM4 without any issues, so I'm guessing I missed checking/not checking a checkbox in MM5?
Appreciate the help!
Cheers
Updates in MM5 not carrying over to iPod Classic?

Re: Updates in MM5 not carrying over to iPod Classic?
If in fact the edits have been made directly on the Ipod, and if the edits have been saved, then the issue is beyond Mediamonkey, more so to find a way for Itunes to re-scan the library.
I am not sure how this is done, not having such an animal.
If you manually add or delete some tracks (using a file manager) does itunes pick those up right away?
If you can view the tracks in a file manager, do these edited files show date modified and updated tags there??
If not then in Mediamonkey check the setting under options, library, tags and playlists, to make sure that "update tags when editing properties" is checked

Re: Updates in MM5 not carrying over to iPod Classic?
Hi,
iPod Classic has it's metadata database so I doubt that changing the file tag would propagate to the database also.
The way is to edit the metadata on files in your MM library and then sync the files to iPod.
i.e. either have them on sync-list and press "Sync now" or re-send them to iPod after the edits (right-click > Send to > iPod ).
