1) MM thinks there is folder for the D drive, my cd/dvd player.

There is no CD in the tray

How do I get MM to be accurate
2)
MM4 and 5 do not recognize my Pixel 4a. Connects as MTP
Any suggestions ?

Re: Ghost CD showing in MM4 and MM5
The problem shows a D drive under folders I changed my Theme from to Metro from Material Design. I put a new CD in and it changes the folder to show the new cd and it shows the CD under CD (a new device thingie or whatever) I changed the option to remove not found media. I remove the CD. I close MM5 and open it up again, same old stuff under the folders view.
Re: Ghost CD showing in MM4 and MM5
Delete the CDPlayer.ini from %APPDATA%\MediaMonkey5\ (paste this in the File Explorer address bar) and this should solve the problem.

Thank you That was successful. Really nice to know the why, I was thinking it could have been a virtual FS, or container or some weird stuff I got infected with.
Re: Ghost CD showing in MM4 and MM5
Hi,
Problem is that at one point windows report incorrect serial (empty) for inserted CD that is written in cdplayer.ini. Unfortunate side effect is that same serial (empty) is reported while there is no CD in drive. In past CDPlayer.ini was managed by Windows, but at some point we needed to track that ourself. It is very very rare case, I have seen it only few times in past 15+ years and there is workaround by deleting ini file or remove incorrect entry from it.
Hope I cleared something, it is very possible that you will never ever see this behavior again.
Happy monkeying!
