Auto-DJ: "General: Focus tracklist..." fails [#19353]

Post by Timo_Beil »

"General: Focus tracklist on currently playing item" stops working, after playing some tracks in minimized mode.

1. enable Auto-DJ (eg. at least 5 upcoming, retain 3 previous)
2. minimize MM to the Taskbar Corner (Win11)
3. let MM play some tracks
4. return to Window-Mode
5. Focus doesn't work anymore ( "All Tracks" in Main List)

If I put new tracks to the Playing list manually now, the shortcut works only for these tracks.

I can't seem to replicate,
just to be sure, by "General: Focus tracklist on currently playing item" you mean the hotkey that you can set in
Options > Hotkeys , right?

I've set this custom hotkey to Ctrl+Shift+A and whenever I use it it focuses the currently playing item despite the fact whether MM5 was minimized meanwhile or not.
But maybe it is a focus issue and you lost focus on the selected tracklist somehow? i.e. if you click a track in the list and then you use the hotkey it's working fine?

Hi Ludek,
yes, that's the Hotkey I mean.
I put it to "Ctrl & <", additionally I'd activated this feature in the Toolbar.
I made some further tests:
Independent from mini/maximizing MM, the lookup fails when Auto-DJ has put new tracks to the "Playing List".
It only works in "Playing List", when I put the focus to this list. With the focus in the Main List (middle) it doesn't work.

What node in the Media Tree is selected when this fails in the Filelisting?

Entire Library > All Tracks
After a restart of MM it works for all existing tracks in Playing List.
If Auto-DJ has added some new tracks to this list, MM fails again.

Hi,
I can't seams to replicate either in 2661, I even used your same CTRL+< as shortcut.

Very strange.
I can reproduce this on 3 PCs, Win 11 and 10, portable and installed, local and central DB, local and central Media-Files.
Fresh install from scratch.
I have no more ideas how to document it. :(
The track is highlighted in the list, but the list doesn't scroll to that item.

Thanks for the additional details, it fails for files added by Auto-DJ for me: https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=19353
