MM5 "Find more from same Artist" hotkey not working as MM4 [#19490]

I regularly used MM4, a hotkey I defined for "Edit: Find more from same Artist". It worked perfectly for songs that have multiple artists separated by semi-column; In MM5, this search isn't working as in MM4. For the same song in MM5, when using the hotkey "Edit: Find more from same Artist", it searches for the whole artist name, and doesn't take only the first artist before the semi-column;

e.g.: for the song with the artist: "Armin van Buuren; Shapov":
In MM4 when using the hotkey for "Edit: Find more from same Artist" it will search for "Armin van Buuren".
In MM5 when using the hotkey for "Edit: Find more from same Artist" it will search for "Armin van Buuren; Shapov"

could MM5 be fixed to work the same way as MM4?

Hi, I came back to the new version of MM after a few years of using MM4. The main reason I did not move to the new version is that the "Find more from same Artist" hotkey still does not work as it did in MM4.

I'm now using MM 2024 1.0.3113, when I search "Find more from same Artist" for Artist "Armin van Buuren", it finds me only part of his songs in the library (10 songs). When I'm doing a global search for "Armin van Buuren", it finds me all of his songs (over 100). In MM4, it worked perfectly.

I checked with another Artist, same results. It seems that there is a limitation of only 10 Songs (!) per search by Artist.

Could this please be fixed?

Hi,
I can't replicate, For me it shows all tracks. Are you sure you enabled to see all tracks and not Top tracks from artist in Artist page. Also if you do global search and select all 100 tracks, then check properties Artist Should be filled and not checked. If not MM see some tracks as different artist.

You can also use manage database and Re-index full text search, that should get rid of any library issues.

If still nothing worked please make few MM screenshots and reply here with them.

Hi, you were right. Thanks. I wasn't familiar with the "top tracks" vs " all tracks" option. So, no issue here.

Another question, if I may. I'm missing the "Tools: Export to playlist" option that was in MM4, shortcut of Ctrl+W. Does it exist in the new MM?

Hi,
Yes, Right click on Selected tracks/Playlists in Tree -> Send To -> M3U playlist. Also if you want to export all playlists you have it under File -> Export.
