Subnode Genre/Other does not consider node "Classical" [#19918]

Post by Timo_Beil »

Mediatree
Classical/Genres/Other
All Artists (with tracks Genre=Other) are shown as a subnode, not only "Classical".
That only happens, if at least one track that meets the criteria for Classical, has the genre "Other"
Criteria of Collection Classical (Any):
1. Path contains "Klassik"
2. Genre contains "Classical"
3. Genre contains "Klassik"
4. Type equals "Classical Music"

Which of those 4 criteria are allowing the track(s) into the Classical node?
If is #4, do you know that you can correct Track "type" using the Track Properties panel?

BTW my Classical node only has a single criteria; Type = Classical Music
I don't remember altering it, so I guess that is the default setting.

To make it more transparent, I have now limited the criterion Classic to default: type "Classical Music" without further selection.

Now I have added the genre "Testing" to one track of this type. This genre appears consequently under Classical.
If I expand this genre, all artist in the whole library with a track genre =Testing are shown, not only type "Classical Music".
Is this a feature?

I can reproduce, the problem is the artist values in the Media Tree, not the files in the Filelisting. Added as: https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=19918

A similar thing can happen in the "filelisting" panel.
ie. Grid View, use the Column Filter to browse to albums having a specific genre. Then click one of those albums, to see its inline track list. ==> the list shows all tracks, including those which don't belong to the Genre that I have filtered to.
