[REQ] Sort by Album Artist | Year in Grid view [#16714]

All I need is another 'Sort By' option in Grid View for Album Artist AND Year

The end goal is to have the grid view show artists albums in chronological order. At the moment, the albums list is sorted alphabetically when sorted by Album Artist.

Thanks for the great software, it is the only music app that works reliably when streaming to my Sonos, so I purchased it (a few years ago)

That is global sort of Albums, as Albums in Album artist page are sorted by year (at least for me).

You can also add column filter and sort like you want.

You can already sort on Date and Album Artist in MediaMonkey 5.1.

we must be talking about different things. I have tried 5.0 and 5.1 and I cant see how it works like you say.

Here is an example, as you can see, it is a grid view of all albums in my collection. I have sorted by Album Artist' at the top, but the albums are listed alphabetically

To get this view, I have a tag called 'Album' and the Media Monkey 'collection criteria' looks for this tag

You need to apply secondary sorting (holding down the Ctrl Key) on Date.
