File Listing Order saved as csv changes in Excel [#21462]

Post by tommyfs1 »

Using V2024.0.0.3082, after creating a playlist, then select File Listing, saving onto win11 desktop as .csv file. When opened in Excel, the playlist song order changes. Why?

I'm unable to reproduce, the order in Excel is the same as in MediaMonkey. Can you please capture the exporting in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log and the CSV file to a Support Ticket: viewtopic.php?t=86643

This will help a developer analyze why this happens on your setup.

Do I need the debug version of "3082" If so, do I need to uninstall the existing non-debug version first? Then, where can I look to find a step-by-step to produce what you're asking for? Thanks L

To capture data in a debug log, do I need the debug version of MM5? If so, should I uninstall the non-debug version first? Having no previous experience with debugging,l can you point me to a step-by-step "how to"?

Yes, step 4b explains all the steps needed including the requirement to use the debug version of MediaMonkey.
