Tracks in "Playing List" lose their properties [#21467]

Last night I was playing to google cast speakers a fairly long list of tracks (like 1500 songs) and saw a really weird effect.

As soon as a song would start playing, its title and artist would disappear, and the player at the bottom would show "Unknown". If I right clicked for properties on this currently playing track, it would be blank. I brougt up "playing" node in the main window, and it was similarly blank for the currently playing track.

I closed and re-openned MM 2024 build 3103 midway through the track, and the properties would be displayed again on re-opening. Move to the next track, and it would again go blank.

Play several tracks in a row, and they would all be blank in the playing list. I retested using local built in speakers and same effect. I was using Metro M skin.

This morning I tried it with Material Design, which i dont like but that was working fine, so I switched back to Metro M, and now it is working fine as well. Just in case anyone else has seen this???

I will report back if it recurrs.

But at no point was info actually lost after a MediaMonkey restart? ie. it's a display issue?

If you ever can reproduce, please capture this in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket: viewtopic.php?t=86643

This will help a developer analyze why this happens on your setup.

Confirm no data was lost, it was all there when I restarted.

Ths issue happens when the track in Playing list is downloaded (either Wi-Fi sync or DLNA playback)

I had an open case for casting to HEOS where the a small portion of the previously played song played at the beginning of the new track. It was resolved but came back. (maybe a HEOS update?). I have been living with it on the version that worked for a while: 5.1.0.2823

I decided to upgrade to 2024.1.0.3104 to see if it worked better with HEOS. It casts fine with the same issue above, but it too has the same issue described in this post:
1) In the "Playing list" previous songs disappear from the list
2) sometimes the song playing disappears from the list and reappears.
3) I have not found any data loss

Hello, i've installed MM 2024 1.0.3113 and i still got this issue.
I'm using MM on my PC (Win 11) and I'm directly loading the tracks via home network on my server (no DLNA).
After loading the tracks (rated and unrated) the rating is showed correctly, but if i choose a unrated track, several fields of the track are dissappearing in the playlist, but the track is played. Even if i rightklick the track and use the properities the fields are empty. This happens only at tracks which are unrated.

Is this a known bug or is it neccessary to send a bug report?

OK, forget my post ...
It was really weird, because at some tracks it worked, but not on other tracks.
The problem was, that the ID Tag was not filled at the "problem tracks"...
It seems, that MM automatically fills artist and track, if the ID Tag is not filled by reading the name of the file?
