I just tried the Cast button on the Now Playing screen. I was surprised to see my Marantz NR1711 as one of the choices. I clicked on it and the playback from my S24+ started up. You see the HEOS on the receiver scroll by in the display on the receiver. It sounds fine. The connection may need some fine tuning. I just had one song end and the next one did not start up. I just pressed the Next Track button and it started up. Any idea why this behaviour? I was listening to my XM5 sony earbuds [while I was out] and did not see this behaviour from the S24+. [Or, if not the phone, configuration, whatever?]
EDIT: I thought I had finally got this cast ability to my receiver. One thing I noticed on each track in MMA is the time toggling between 00.00 and 00.01. i.e. Zero and 1 seconds. Any ideas?
EDIT2: https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... re-played/ Could this be the reason? And, what to do? This made think about disc numbers. This album has disc numbers. Could this be bad or misconfigured?
EDIT3: I used MM5 to play the same album on Marantz 1711 and it moved track by track in MM5 w/o any interruption? Does this help at all?

Re: Casting and Playing Tracks to Marantz 1711
Hi,
Which version of MMA are you using? I'm asking because 2.0.3 included some changes that resulted in playback regressions in certain environments. 2.0.4.1230 (currently fully rolled out to Beta users and rolling out to Production) includes 2 fixes resolving those problems, and that may be related to the issue you're observing:

https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=21509
To answer your questions:
1) The time issue might be fixed in the issues above in build 1230
2) If you don't have a Pro license, playback would only stop after 30 minutes (not after a single track) so I doubt it's related.
Does 1230 help?

Yes. It's 2.0.4.1230 with Pro license. Back in the beginning of 2020, I went all-in MMA Pro and MM5 Gold Lifetime. Playback is so strange in casting. You literally see the playback position going up one second and then back again.rusty wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 12:57 pm Hi,

EDIT: @PeKe I sent some logs from MMA to him. He was going to send them to developers?

Thanks for clarifying and for the log.
We're planning on switching to a new UPnP library for 2.0.5 and we're hopeful that it'll fix some of the current anomalies.

Great! Above, were you suggesting to turn off gapless playback to test? "UPnP library"? What is this and what is the timetable?

What's the timetable for this version? Would doing a rip in a different file type make any difference? I was using VBR 0 [Extreme] MP3s.

Thx for new beta. I still have the same issue as above. Weird? Back and forth from 0 seconds to 1 seconds during playback??

What to try? I can fast forward to next track, back to previous track, but playback is one track at a time.

Thx for the report.
Switching to a new UPnP library was postponed to 2.0.6.
Coming soon as Beta.
