I'm brand new to this software, so forgive me if I'm missing something obvious.
When I right click > edit tags > update tags for a file that did not already have an album artist set, it's still not set afterwards.
It saves the album artist if I'm updating it on a song/album that already had it, but it won't add the tag if it's not present already.

Update Tags saves database values to the files. Are you saying that Album Artist is shown in MediaMonkey, but not saved to the files tags themselves?

I hadn't thought to check until you mentioned that, they're .wav, so that kind of metadata isn't even supported...
Exported them as .mp3 and it's there, I feel silly.
Unrelated, the hidden captcha on this site sucks. Why tell me the solution I provided was incorrect when there was nothing to enter. For some reason I've gotta turn off my dark mode to post.

Re: Can't save album artist tag
Yes, WAV has poor tagging support and interoperability. FLAC is a better format with the same audio quality as WAV (MP3 is lower quality) and much much better tagging support.
