When sorting a column in MMW4 by clicking on the column title, with sort direction indicator ˄ pointing up, starts with all the blank fields at the top of the list followed by populated fields ascending alphabetically.
In MMW2024-3150 it's just the opposite, ˄ pointing up starts with populated fields ascending alphabetically with blank fields at the bottom of the list. Reversing the sort ˅ puts blank fields at the top of the list, then populated fields descending alphabetically. To me this seems backwards, blanks should be at the top with an ascending sort.

Re: Column Sort Order
Hi,
You are most likely right, I haven't paid attention on that.

Re: Column Sort Order [#21578]
Anyone else have thoughts on this? I prefer the current approach since it results in tracks with missing metadata appearing at the bottom for most default sorts.
Otherwise we end up with questions about why there are no tracks appearing (which occurs when metadata is absent for default sorts).

Re: Column Sort Order [#21578]
My original post on this probably came from many years of using MM when it was just the opposite. Thinking that was about the time I was trying to officially switch over from MM4 to MM5/2024. Old dogs have trouble with new tricks.
Was also thinking one field was sorting backwards, but I can't find it now and don't see it mentioned in my post above. I'm probably wrong about that and likely why I didn't mention it back then. Old dogs also have poor memories.
I'm somewhat adjusted now, and all for helping to reduce the number of support questions for the MM team.
