Column Filter for Location [#21704]
Hi, I wanted to ask if it's possible to add an option for location (as in external drive letter C: D:) to main panel 'column view' columns?
Re: [REQ] Column Filter for Location

Re: [REQ] Column Filter for Location
They are not the even similar things when you want to filter a drive when using 6 connected external drives with +250000 files on them, are they? You already have it on the left panel, why not add it to filters which would make it simply better?
Re: [REQ] Column Filter for Location
Not sure I follow. If you can browse by Location then why do you need C:\ as column? You can always create Auto playlist with criteria PATH starts With "C:\". If I am wrong can you please elaborate?

The thread topic is pretty spot on, I think. Here is a visual explainer which I did with the free audio player:

Hi,

This is why they say "Picture say more than 1000 words!" and now I see what you mean clearly. You are right it can really improve usage of column browser (which I personally do not use, but can see real usage even for me with your proposal).buze a écrit : ↑lun. juil. 28, 2025 1:26 amThe thread topic is pretty spot on, I think. Hi,
An update from BUG #21704
You can already Use Column PROPERTIES -> MEDIA to get what you want, but we will further improve that in MM 2026.

Re: [REQ] Column Filter for Location [#21704]
No, that's not what I want. MEDIA lists the drive names and changing them to alphabetical order would open a whole can of worms for me for different reasons. What I was asking for was what I wrote:
and what I showed via a screenshot:
But I give up. I won't request anything anymore. Thanks and good luck.buze a écrit : ↑lun. juil. 28, 2025 1:26 am Here is a visual explainer which I did with the free audio player:

Re: Column Filter for Location [#21704]
I really do not understand, but OK.
Even not perfect MEDIA gives you what you want, You can rename Drive Names in MM library to C:, D:, ... to use Workaround Emediately till MM 2026 gets available for test.
Currently that will not be possible ATM and Media Will not show Drive Letters till MM 2026 gets out.
