Mediamonkey 2024.1.0.3113 and sdcards

Post by dove7795 »

Hi,

Fairly longterm user of Mediamonkey, though more recent gold member.

I've recently switched to Linux Mint 22.1 from Win10, and have successfully migrated everyting to a WINE version of Mediamonkey, which in general seems to work fine.

The issue I do have seems to be that mediamonkey no longer shows my sdcard in devices and servers (though the windows explore equivalent does allow me to access and use the SDcard under devices. (Actually, that also applies to USB sticks as well)

Does anyone have any ideas please?

Thanks
Peke

Hi,
I would first upgrade to https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... 86639&sd=d to see if things improved.

What I am guessing is that WINE do not parse or USB/SDCard is not parsed correctly to WINE as Removable MTP Device, but regular removable device (eg. like CD-ROM). The best would be to try to use MM and Folders browser tree to see if drives are visible, also try to Parse USB/SDCard path from Explorer to MM Add/Rescan library and see if MM can scan and play tracks of it.

That should at least give us partial information what is going on.

Thanks - but it turns out I'm a complete idiot :D

Mediamonkey as is can find it, it's just that Linux hasn't been obvious about the drive letter, so I was looking for something along the lines of SD card as it appears in the home menu.

In Mediamonkey itself, for this particular time, it's assigned it to the P Drive which I found when just cycling through the browser (like you suggested too).

(On Windows, it said in windows explorer that it was F: and Mediamonkey agreed)

I'll look at the update anyway once I finish syncing.

Thanks
