Anyone used a CD ripping service to rip their CD's?
I'm curious to know if they actually rip the CD's, or just maintain a huge collection of pre-ripped CD's which they then burn off for you.
I've been working my way through my CD collection - re-ripping to FLAC and retagging with full ID3 and artwork, and I've come across a number of discs that are damaged or scratched. MM has some serious problems with them, and EAC is taking hours to do each one (albeit successfully).
So... I'm wondering if I can ship off my scratched/damaged discs to a CD ripping service who will return lovely pristine FLAC data (without having actually ripped them).
Any ideas?

I would ask the service your interested in how they handle fairly damaged discs. They might polish them to take out most damage, they might have more professional equipment or they might just give you a copy from a library of music they have.
