Do you use any virtual CD-ROMs? In that case there are currently some problems. Other source of problems can be missing or incorrectly working ASPI. Some information about workaround for this problem can be found for example [url="http://www.windac.de/eng/sup02.shtml"]here</url] or on many other places on the net (try google).

In the next version, this problem will be solved (at least for Windows NT, 2000, XP), because ASPI won't be used in this case.

Allwright, the solution was effectively in the second part of your answer : not aspi drivers installed in my windows Xp. I'm installing the 4.72 aspi drivers from adaptec and now all is good ;-)

Thanks a lot
