songs play for 3 seconds then stop?

Does anyone know why when moving to the next song on a playlist MM plays the first 3 seconds then pauses. It is annoying the hell out of me especially when I am having to go back to MM to press play all the time. I know I probably have missed something obvious but I am only a newbie!!!!

This shouldn't happen when playing tracks, there's some bug with your system. What version of MM are you using, what operating system are you on, and what version of WMP do you have installed?

You could also try turning of hardware acceleration by right clicking the player and clicking "Configure current output plug-in". If its still not working, you could try installing the newestbeta version to see if there's any fix (and assuming you don't already use that version). If it still doesn't work correctly you should report it as a bug and generate a debug log.
