Vista x64 & Last.FM Plugin
Hi Guys
Had a quick search and noticed a few posts in a thread regarding the last.fm plugin and vista x64 but no solution on how to install.
The latest .mmip once renamed will not install as it is not a valid x64 exe and trying as admin doesn't help either.
Could someone advise if it is possible to use this plugin or do I need another. Also a short step by step guide would be really handy.
So good I bought it is all I have to say about this player just wish I could get last.fm working as well.
TIA
Andy

Re: Vista x64 & Last.FM Plugin
Why did you rename the .mmip extension to .exe (or did I misundertand)?
You might want to try right clicking on the .mmip file and select Open With > MediaMonkey. Also make sure your using MediaMonkey 3.1 beta instead of the MediaMonkey 3.0 as the latest last.fm plugin isn't compatible with older versions of MediaMonkey.

The last FM plugin stopped scrobbling a couple of days ago on my system (Vista 64). I have the latest MM beta (1222) and the latest plugin version (1.0.2.12). Anyone else experiencing that ?

Hello Landlader,
Thanks for taking some of of your time for answering me.
Actually I've just found out what was wrong : I had a second instance of MM running as a process (which is weird cause I have "allow just one instance of Mediamonkey" checked).
Now That I have stopped it, it's all back to normal.

Thanks for the replies
Been busy this last week and will have another go today.
Think I'm missing something with regards to installing the plugin. Do you double click on the ,mmip or just copy it into the plugins folder? I'll try the open with after I re-install this morning.

Re: Vista x64 & Last.FM Plugin
I'm also having trouble getting Last.fm's Scrobbler installed. I'm running MM 3.1.0.1224 and Last.fm_Scrobbler_1.0.2.12.mmip. When I right click and install I get the Product installation message but when I click "Install Now" I get a "Product installation error."
In looking under Tools | Options I don't see any reference to Last.fm.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Product installation error means that vista is blocking the extraction of the files. Start MM as administrator before running the installer (right click MM icon, run as administrator)Skullneck wrote:I'm also having trouble getting Last.fm's Scrobbler installed. Re: Vista x64 & Last.FM Plugin
Back again
I'm now running MM 3.1.0.1225 and Last.fm_Scrobbler_1.0.2.12.mmip and have it scrobbling but also have the winamp plugin after installing the last.fm software.
I'm thinking that I shouldn't have selected the winamp option?
At the point where you select which plugin on the last.fm install what should you do?

You should not install the last.fm program at all.Andy_Carr wrote:Back again
