A killer feature I would like to see in Songs-DB is a "Quick filter" (not sure if there is a better name for it). This would be a single search/filter field that is always available on top of the list and it would search inside title, artist and album (could be another combination but I think these are the most useful). The search would then filter the list to only show the songs that match the search in realtime - that is for each word I type it filters the list.
A number of programs has this kind of search - for instance Media Jukebox (www.musicex.com/mediajukebox) when standing on "Media Library" or "Playlists" where it does the search/filter exactly in a way I like to see it in Songs-DB. Another program that has the same feature is Mozilla Email (www.mozilla.com) where it searches in Subject and Sender of emails.
By the way you once mentioned that you would like to make scripting/export available in the free version. Are you still considering this? I know you have to earn some money on the Gold version but I believe that it is the Cache and Preview features that is the killer features that will make people by this version. I myself is going by a principle of only using freeware programs besides Windows itself.
Otherwise keep up the good work with the best free music management program available.
