I'm running MM 3.1.1.126 on an XP machine. My media is on a NAS HD. MM will play for a while and then freezes after a while giving me this error message.
Could not retrieve data "select songs.id from where songs.id=? and (songs.track type=1)" :database is locked (5,5).
I know there is some puctuation differences and probably some spacing issues in that message. I'm just not sure where to start.
Thanks

Did you ever get this fixed? I have same problem.
Re: Error message-database is locked (5,5)
I'd start by looking at security or backup software locking the database file.

Re: Error message-database is locked (5,5)
Have latest MM. Problems started before I upgraded a couple of weeks ago.
Will get a hold of a friend to check into security and/or backup as I don't know where to start.
For those who say to look at Backup, below is the Backup portion from my MM.ini file. Does this look right? If I have MM on an external hard drive, can I change the EDir to the R drive? Seems weird to have everything but Extensions on R drive.

Re: Error message-database is locked (5,5)
I'm having the same problem rrfpacker (on a NAS). Let me know if you've resolved yours, as I'm ready to jump ship here pretty soon.
Re: Error message-database is locked (5,5)
I haven't had the "Database locked" error message in a while, but I've uninstalled Backup. I install Backup every couple of weeks or so, backup and then uninstall.
I've left posts in the Backup thread, too, without success. Maybe MM4 will clean things up.
