Automatically Analyze Volume when I rip?

Post by theloniouscoltrane »

OK, after ripping 8 trillion cds and checking every once in a while to see if I'm the only MM fan who can't figure this out, I'll finally take the plunge and wait for the answer that makes me look like I know nothing about modern technology. I have looked for a way to have MM automatically Analyze Volume when I rip so I don't have to remember to do it ( I forget regularly so I'm both forgetful and a hopeless ludite).

Thanks in advance for being gentle with me.
Windows 8 64-bit, AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Six Core Processor, ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics, 8gb memory, MM Gold, only the plug-ins that come with MM, just the scripts that come with MM, using MM Wasapi output to an RME Fireface 800 (which is also 400 compatible) running through Firewire 400 cable into PC.

Thanks for the reply. I assume you mean Tools->Options->Player->Volume Leveling->Automatically analyze volume of unanalyzed tracks. I've always left this box unticked because I thought it searched in the background for tracks that haven't been analyzed. What I am hoping for is a box I can tick that will make the ripper analyze the volume at the same time it is ripping, automatically. Two reasons for the difference, I don't really care to analyze the classical music or live concerts I have because the leveling interferes with the track shifts, and, second, I prefer to have as little background functioning going on as possible. Thanks.

Before you tick the "Automatically analyze volume of unanalyzed tracks" box check

Its quicker to wait for the rip to finish then ctrl-A then shift-ctrl-V

Is this fixed yet?
