Rating Script!

Post by anonymust »

Good day all,

Im seeking help on some script writing for MM.

Here's the deal, I'n not so good with Media Monkey scripting.. so I've used MP3TAG for about 3 years now.

But I've had the Monkey for over 5.. So its time to join the primates :)

I need a script that checks one rating field, and inserts/replaces another rating field.

To be exact the fields are "rating mm" and "rating":

I've realized that MM only writes the rating (after I've clicked on the stars to rate it) to the "ratting mm" field when the audio files are MP3.. but when the audio files are FLAC it only writes to the "rating" field.

On the down side, when I rate my FLAC songs via MP3TAG I only write, manually, to the "ratting mm" field, and MM doesn't seem to see/read these ratings and display the starts for me.

How can I get MM to read the "rating mm" field on FLAC files and show the rating?
or
How can i get a script to read the "ratting mm" field and convert & write the rating to the "rating" field?

P.s. I'm using version. 4.0.1.1461

Why aren't you using "Rating" in MP3Tag for FLAC files, since it's the "Standard" way of storing that information? If it's a matter of having to use two different "fields" in MP3Tag to tag your ratings ("Rating MM" for ID3 and "Rating" for FLAC), then couldn't you just set up a Tag Mapping in MP3Tag to be able to use "Rating MM" for FLAC but have it actually store the information in "Rating"?
