How to refresh searched music to start from scratch?

Post by IsaacJ »

Hi again. :D Just wondering, I don't see any way to refresh the music selection in MediaMonkey (unless the only way to do that is to get the "full" version). If nothing else, I'd like to be able to force it to "forget" all the music it's found on my system and get it to start over again as it I'd just installed it. This would also work for me.

I've been converting files back and forth with MM, from ogg to wav, then from wav to mp3 (for sound quality) and vice versa. But when I do this it becomes a hassle to sort everything out as the explorer window in MM gets kinda cluttered with all those different files, some of which I will later need to delete, and I have a lot to transfer so switching folders all the time would be almost as bad as trying to sort everything out manually.

Is there a simple way to have MM do a new search, erasing its records on the initial search I've already done with it? I've a mind to go in and find a database file and try renaming it, but I thought I'd ask first. This would help me a lot.

Note, down the road, I might be willing to pay for the refresh feature, but only once MM meets all my other little needs for it. On that day, I'll buy it even if I don't need to in order to get the refresh function I want just to encourage continuing the program.

Thanks.

You can use the "clear library" function under the "file" tab. I think this might do what you want.
