MM no longer sees/recognizes ipod

Post by blu »

I originally set my ipod up using iTunes, but switched it over to MM (2.4). That worked fine, and I was able to see my ipod in MM as well as sync specific playlists, as I intended. However, today when I plugged in my ipod, MM gave me some error (which I don't recall any more), and the ipod showed up as a square symbol instead of any name ... and I couldn't browse the ipod. When I stopped the device, unplugged it, then plugged it back in ... MM no longer saw it (i.e., it didn't show up in MM).

I then tried to see if I could browse the ipod (it's set to be browseable), but I couldn't see it in Windows Explorer either. I also tried to open iTunes again to see if iTunes could see it ... it couldn't. I tried resetting the ipod by holding down the center button and the menu button at the same time ... that didn't help either.

Lastly, I reinstalled MM ... no luck there either.

Any ideas?

Restart your computer and install MediaMonkey 2.5.1.927 - RC-1.

Resolves all iPod issues for me.
