Hi there, quick question!
I find that my music is almost always too quiet relative to the volume of everything else I listen to (Windows sounds, movies on my computer, YouTube videos, games, etc.) and so I tried to change the volume leveling in MediaMonkey. In the options menu (specifically, Player > Volume Leveling), all the dB settings were at 90 dB ("Per Track", not album), and so I increased it to 100 dB. I also checked the "Clipping prevention" checkbox in the same options window.
At the 100 dB setting, the volume was right about where I wanted it. The problem is, most tracks had clipping at various loud parts of the track. I know that it has to be the result of changing it to 100 dB because once I change it back to 90 dB the clipping goes away. Even if I change it back to 90dB and physically turn my speaker volume up to be super loud, it still does not clip, meaning the clipping had to be from changing the MM dB leveling value from 90 to 100.
Anyone know why it's clipping even though I checked the "Clipping prevention" box? Is there any way to fix it, or is there any way to know how high I can set the dB value safely without causing any clipping?
Cheers.

Above 95dB you tend to see artifacts introduced. Have you checked if your MediaMonkey volume is set to 100% (so you don't need to amp up the volume leveling so much).

To clarify bit more.
Theoretically 95db is limit where clipping preventions have sense. 89db is/was CD Standard in order to have good dynamics.
I personally have 93db when I listen on headphones and 89 or 83 in some cases and depending of Hi-Fi equipment quality, eg. I prefer to 89 on my Grundig power amp but 83 when using custom build Power AMP with bulbs. Have you ever listen ravel - bolero on 300W (8/16 ohm) with 90% of max volume on AMP where 83 give more dynamic and enjoyment where 89 have hiss sound and 95 clipping.
