Can't opt out the file type association

Hello,
under Win 10 using MMP 4.1.10.1778 I can't opt-out the file type association with windows. So, if I change the file icon of mp3 MMP reregister it and shows the default icon again.
Already tried to change it in the MediaMonkey.ini, doesn't help.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
In Win 10 MMW do not handle associations but instead you should use default programs installed with windows and that one is handling reassignments.

Windows 10 changed the way that file associations are handled so MM can't change them.

Open your start menu and type 'default programs' to get at the Windows settings.

Please read carefully: I don't want to change the file association, I want to change the file ICON.
