Does this feature exist? - Playlist sync help

Hi,

Ok so here is what I'm trying to do, but it isn't quite working the way I want.

I have a few auto lists that synch to my phone. That's all good.

Now, on my phone i create a list (or many) from the tracks loaded through the sync lists. Also all good.

Now i have it set to synch the lists back to the library. Yay, that works great.

But here's the problem, those tracks and playlist remain on my device until i remove the list from the device through the synch interface on MMW.

Ideally i'd like to have the lists update on MMW, and synch new files only off of the auto-lists. Is there a way to do this?

TLDR / you make no sense - I want the playlists i make on my phone to ADD to the list thats in my database on MMW, and clear the files off when I sync.

Is this possible?

If the files (the music files) are not on the sync list they should be removed from MMA. I don't think that Playlists created in MMA/on device will be removed on sync. At minimum you'd need to set it to delete all media files not on sync list.

Ah see, thats the thing. They (and the new playlists) get automatically added to the sync list when I create the playlists on the device and sync back. If I go in to the sync interface on MMW I see them added there and have to manually deselect them.

I have it set to delete all the media files that are not on the list, which is working.

I can't think of a way to get this working using the existing... logic, for lack of a better term.

I don't think it's possible (ie. you need to deselect them from sync manually). This is likely done to prevent accidental deletion of MMA/device created Playlists.

Bummer, I was hoping there was something i was missing.

I think I can deal with it though. Just need to retire lists when the get unwieldy and start new ones. Then use an auto list to merge all the little phone made lists into one in MMW.

That way I occasionally purge my phone of the built up songs and save some space.
