i have a creative vision:m, which is amazing and i love it to death... and i likewise love mediamonkey, but im trying to figure out how, or if, i can go about getting mediamonkey to, when i synchronize (i have it only synching a selection of my library [based on file location on hard drive] because i have like 45gb of music and the player only holds 30) to not only synch files that dont exist on the player yet, and to delete files that no longer exist on the computer, but to also update/recopy files that exist on the player but have a newer timestamp... because i always edit id3 info and stuff and the changes dont seem to be reflected when i synch the player
another problem seems to be with album art. it works great for the most part, except for some albums. i went thru my library by album and added the art, starting at the top alphabetically obviously (just went down the list) and so the first album i added art to that the album was titled "Greatest Hits" (it was ace of bace because it was the first so far that was a greatest hits album), even tho i added corresponding album art to other albums, the ace of base art was the picture displayed on my player for all the albums titled greatest hits. so i was surprised to find ace of base art for red hot chili peppers album... anyways i since edited all the album tags to be more descriptive so like the Album id3 tag for the red hot chilis greatest hits reads "Greatest Hits (rhcp)"... i deleted the album art (still showing as the correct art despite not being shown on player) from the rest of the greatest hits albums too but have not yet added it back
that second issue is petty compared to figuring out the first question which the topic is titled about. about the synching based on timestamp, either i;m overlooking something very obvious, or MM doesnt do this... and i really think it should! its perfectly logical.. maybe theres a plugin?
thanks guys for making a great program

hmm well ive discovered something else. if i am only synching based on file path location, ie. i have E:\Music being monitored by MM but only E:\Music\CDs and E:\Music\Techno being synched (other folders left out because of space on player) -- if i am not actually viewing any files in the main list part of the screen, and i click Synch, it doesnt seem to do or update much... however if i browse the location such as E:\Music\Techno and so the files are listed in the window etc then i hit Synch it DOES work and update the changes etc... im very confused...
