MediaMonkey Gold has served me well for over ten years. Thank you. I only use Media Monkey for Windows. I do not ever get on the internet with it. I have no need to sync with any other devices. Recently discovered an underlying problem.
I opened a music library for artist ‘Jeff Healey’ and was in shock when 1900 files came up with artist Jeff Healey. There were many various names other than Jeff Healey. Scrolled down the list and there were only 44 actually Jeff Healey. Clicked on ‘Properties’ on a file for a NON Jeff Healey song and removed Jeff Healey from ‘album artist’. Did that to a whole bunch more files. So how did Jeff Healey end up in 1900 of my files when I did not enter it even in actual Jeff Healey files? Opened a .mp3 file from windows ‘my documents/my music’ and clicked on properties and discovered ‘album artist’ is not even an option on the windows .mp3 files. Did a little research looking for a way to remove ‘album artist’ Jeff Healey from all .mp3 files. Found no options. Ran ‘auto-tag from file name’ hoping that would address and fix my problem. Turned out I should not have done all my songs. Took about an hour and when it was done I went from 1900 ‘album artist’ Jeff Healey to over 6000. What have I wrought? I searched ‘help’ looking for an option to remove all album artist; none found. So my question is. Can I just remove ALL 'album artist' in one move and if so how?

Re: 'album artist'
Select all files, right Click > Properties and edit Album Artist. Be careful when editing multiple files as changes will be applied to all.
