Refresh when removing track from playlist & weird youtube [#17390]

I'm creating a large playlist and am removing doubles from that playlist.

When I select one or more files and press delete, it refreshes the palylist and 95% of the time defaults to the top of the playlist or it defaults to (probably) the bottom of the first screen update it does (so for example when sorting on artist, I'm at the letter D, delete a file and after the refresh I'm at the letter B). Or at the letter M, delete a file and it goes to the top. Which is really annoying, as after the refresh I need to scroll back to where I was.

Also, at random times (exactly when and why is unknown, but I guess when in the "monitor continuous" it adds files, though not everytime) it adds a youtube video multiple times to my main collection. A different youtube each time it occurs, but like this morning it added the same youtube video 46 times. Youtube videos I have never watched, so it can't be from any cache or something.
Am I the only one getting this behaviour?

Which build of MMW5? I'm not able to reproduce on 2293.

Version is 2293, but also happened on previous versions (both issues).

My playlist currently contains 19161 files. Removed Bitrate and Bit Depth from the view, but that did not solve anything.
Currently shows #, Artist, Title, Album, Date, Genre, Rating, Length, Source, Path, Filename. Sorting on Artist.

When I delete an entry and it doesn't go to the top, the last # in my view is #2000.

Will see if I can get more info tomorrow.

Debug log and screenscast may prove to be helpful to resolve. Also what View are you using?

First 3 times it went to #2000 as the last one in view, last time it defaulted to the top. Deleting done by pressing the delete button.

Youtube thing may take a while to occur......

Hmm, I am unable to replicate your issue, tested with 11889 files in a testing playlist and scrolled to 10697 and removed the file from playlist
=> the view stays scrolled to the item 10697

Some questions:

1) if you just select a track in the view and press F5 (to refresh), does it also auto-scroll out of the selected track?

2) What values you use for "Make text bigger" and "Make everything bigger" here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lsnbei2u3k1vw ... 1.png?dl=0
If they are not 100% , can you try whether changing them to 100% makes a difference?

3) How many monitors do you have and which resolution?

1) It stays at the same position, but if the sorting was on artist, it defaults back to numbered index.

2) All at 100%

3) 1 monitor at 2560x1080, though it's running on a laptop with the internal screen not used. MM5 is not full screen but the size of the video. Set fullscreen the issue is the same (#2000 is at the bottom of the view, though sorting stays on artist). If I make MM5 very small, the effect is the same

I had 4 tabs open. If I close the others, it's still the same. Set view to browser or list doesn't help. Turning info panel and status bar off doesn't help.
Optimize and rebuild database also doesn't help. Changing sorting also doesn't help - in the (probably) natural order it still jump to top/#2000.

Tomorrow I'll try it on the laptop itself (without monitor connected), see how it behaves there...

Just tried on my laptop without external monitor connected, and it's the same. OS is W10 Home 20H2, fresh install (3 weeks ago).

And if I delete or shift-delete something from a non-playlist directory-tree view, it just deletes the line and stays in place.

Also created a new playlist and put some directories in it (12000+ files) and it shows the same behaviour that it goes to #2000 when I delete something.

If I delete something from around position 16 in the playlist when sorted on title, it stays on the same line and states it's still sorted on title, but the numbers in the first column are now in standard increasing order, so not the original numbering.

Ahh, ok, you were sorting by Artist.

So yes, I see the same issue when the playlist is sorted by Artist and not by the # order.
