I'm thinking about purchasing MM but have a question first. I have a Zen Nano Plus which only plays files back in alphabetical order based on file name, not on an ID3 tag filed (it does read the title tag to display the title but it's not involved in deciding which track to play next. When drag a playlist or group of files to my device, is there an option for MM to add 001, 002, etc to the beginning of each file so they play in correct order? A search for this function suggests that it hasn't been available in the past. Has it been implemented yet? There have to be enough people out there using simple devices that are limited in the order they play tracks back.
Thanks for any help.
renaming files during sync

Yes that is possible in the device synchronization options in MediaMonkey. It requires the use of the <Auto Number> mask.

thanks for the quick reply. that feature does indeed work with the free edition. i can finally dump notmad explorer from my computer. if i could only get that money back . . .
btw- some people reported that playlist files still copy over even when the option is deselected. under the auto-sync list tab, select the playlist to be sync'd, edit, and then deselect copy m3u playlists. my box wasn't checked but squared in, which explains why the file was still transfered over. still a software bug but not a big deal.
