Track# field not Recognized by some Devices

Some devices won’t show the Track # field written by MediaMonkey for WAV tracks. This occurs because some devices expect an uppercase tag (like Windows Media Player), whereas others expect a lowercase tag (the default used by MediaMonkey).

If this is an issue for you:

  1. Close MediaMonkey (so that it doesn’t overwrite any of the changes)
  2. Back up the MediaMonkey.ini file.
  3. Open the MediaMonkey.ini file inside a text editor such as Notepad
  4. Add the following lines:
  5. Save the MediaMonkey.ini file.
  6. Start MediaMonkey

Any subsequently written tags will be compatible with your device.
