exporting play lists to another computer

Post by cbell2112 »

Is there a utility to export a playlist to a different computer? Everything will be on an external hard drive so the drive letter will be different than the drive letter where the play list wa created.

Thanks

Right but if the drive letters are different(i.e. my playlist shows a C: drive and the new drive will be an F: drive), will that work? When I used Winamp, I had to use a program to replace all the C:'s with F:'s.

the m3u playlist is just a text file with the .m3u extension on it.

open it with notepad or word and find and replace all the C: with F:

then import it if the files are in the same location on drive F then it will work.

You can also create a partition on your hard drive & have your music saved there. If you assign the partition to the same drive letter as the drive & path that the music is in on the other computer, then you won't have to change the drive letters around.
