You'll find it in the "Files To Edit"-Node. At the bottom you'll see the "Advanced Duplicate Find & Fix"-Node. Also right click on a track and you'll see Copy Metadata/Paste Metadata.

Same Content error
Hi, I got a SQL error with v2.6 and MM 2.5.5.998.
There was a problem querying the database:
HY000:[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Reserved error (l), there is no message for this error.
Error #-2147418113 - SongsDB.SDBatabase
HY000:[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Reserved error (l), there is no message for this error.
File: "C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Auto\AdvancedDuplicateFindFix.vbs", Line: 1216, Colunn: 2.
I cleared my library and re-scanned everything yesterday. The errors occur in separate dialog boxes when I click "Same Content".
Any idea what causes this, or how to debug it?

Hi codecrafter,
No sorry I don't know what causes this. Perhaps you need to update your mdacs and/or script host?
Is this the first time you test the script?

Bex,
It is the first time I've tried your script.
As far as I can tell, I'm running the latest WSH 5.7 and MDAC 2.8 for XP.

Bex,
I narrowed the error down to this piece of the query:
It works ok if I remove any one of the three fields, e.g., :
I have no idea why.

Code: Select all
Max(Artist&' - '&songs.songtitle& ' ['&Albums.Album&']')
Code: Select all

Hmm, that's strange. I don't have an explanation or a fix for it. In fact the MM2 version is "frozen". So I recommend you to upgrade to MM3 and use the latest version of this script.

I'm using the MM3 version with the latest MM3 build, and I'm getting an error whenever I try to use this script. The error was occurring with the last build as well.
When I drag the song and drop on the one to receive the track information, I get this error message:
Error# -2147418113 -
File [script & path], Line: 1501, Column: 5
(I added the bit in square brackets to avoid me having to type out the script name & path: a timesaving effort somewhat thwarted by typing this explanation.)
Is there an easy fix? I can't live without this script!

Yes, I know of that bug but I haven't yet fixed it. As a workaround for now you can instead "Copy/Paste" Metadata which should work equally well.

download links don't work
Hello, first post.
Major bug: The download links don't work

Rating Track and Albums Together
Hey Bex,
Can I use your Advance Find and Fix script to do this:
Background
Currently my library rating system is:
1 Star = Don't Like It
2 Star = Duplicate of a 3, 4, 5 star rated track
3 Star = Best of Genre
4 Star = Best of Artist
5 Star = Favorite
Need
I want to search an artist and analyze all the ratings for each track in all albums for that artist. Then I want the script to figure out duplicate tracks. Then I want the script to figure out which albums can get a 3 Star rating and higher.
In other words, I want full albums with as many tracks rated with 3 stars or higher.
All the other albums that contain duplicate tracks (tracks that are rated 3 stars on other albums) to have 2 star or less ratings.
For example, AC/DC has a lot of albums that have Back In Black and Who Made Who on them. I only want one album to have a 3 star rating for both Back In Black and Who Made Who. Instead of having album one with Back In Black rated 3 stars and Who Made Who rated 2 stars. And album 2 having Back In Black rated 2 stars and Who Made Who rated 3 stars.
The purpose is to figure out the highest rated albums so I don't have to have all albums downloaded to my ipod, only the ones that have the highest rated tracks.
Thanks in advance.

No roupp, this script helps you to find duplicates. To do what you describe it sounds like a completely new script must be written.
