This forum is for reporting bugs in MediaMonkey for Windows 4. Note that version 4 is no longer actively maintained as it has been replaced by version 5.

Well, now I'm a bit confused too !

I try to rephrase the issue, as I did not describe it properly:

1. in MM, except for the player, track-times of one hour and above
are shown as "hh:mm:ss", e.g. "1:28:22".
The Player shows just "mm:ss", so the same track is shown as "88:22" (which is inconstent with MM).

2. in MM, and also in the player, times below one hour
are shown as "mm:ss", e.g. 8:22.
Also player shows "8:22".

I asked for the same display in "MM" and "Player" for times below ("8:22") and above ("1:28:22") one hour.

No, I did not want to have "0:8:22" in the player ... just "8:22" as in rest of MM.

Yes, I do want "1:28:22" in the player ... just like in the rest of MM.

There seem to be just the two options for formatting in skins:
- "hh:mm:ss" ... problem is below one hour, see above "0:8:22"
- "mm:ss" ... problem is longer one hour in player, see above "88:22"

Thats is why I proposed a new "H:mm:ss", that results to:
- "hh:mm:ss" for greater and equal one hour
- "mm:ss" for less one hour.

I hope, I could express myself clearly (and understood other posts).

Fair enough, I get it now. At least I got you half way there. Though they do say that consistency is the hobgoblin of...

so.. uh.. was this fixed?

I am coming from Windows Media player and my car audio system, both of which display playing time as such:

5:30 (Five minutes and thirty seconds)
55:30 (Fifty-five minutes and thirty seconds)
1:03:30 (One hour three minutes and thirty seconds)

It pains me top have to mentally convert the current mm:ss time position (example 63:30 = 1:03:30) of a 5 hour long prerecorded talk show so I can sync my listening between my workpc, car audio, and home entertainment system multiple times per day.

I would love to have the option that was very clearly described by Kilmatead above.... mm:ss for songs <1 hour and H:mm:s for songs >1 hour

This is already fixed in the default MM skin.

this is also corrected in most of my skins and i believe nohitter151's skin along with the others. as it is a simple code change in the player ini file. and a simple text area change on the player to show the time in
hours minutes and seconds.
