Well looks like we didn't get enough votes in.

To be honest, I wouldn't call MM3 a media player as it's mainly audio. The other applications handle video as well, which for me isn't an issue as I only want it for my music.

It is a tragedy that iTunes gets into the top few though. maybe ignorance IS bliss! I know one person on another forum who said that they use iTunes as it is the only good music player ever made!!! There are plenty of good ones out there, almost all better than iTunes, and MM3 is the best in my eyes.

i went to post but they said no new posters would count so they wanted it fixed by only allowing the users that were there and used itunes.

thats what i saw when i went there.
and i was not going to join a group that would not count my vote, it would have been a waste of time to do so.

with that known. that tells me the lifehacker forum is not worth anything.

I would suggest otherwise. They did a poll under their readers and blocked new users to prevent one software from taking over the poll by sending it's users over to that forum. I believe that the current results would be representative of the Lifehacker readers. I don't know the numbers, but I would assume that players like WinAmp, iTunes and WMP have a bigger user base and as such many polls that ask readers what they use would reflect that.
Don't forget that MediaMonkey users are often a different breed. We care more about our music libraries and like to organize it. Most people just care to play their songs and will use whatever software already is installed or comes bundled with their device. Don't forget that even Apple fights the same battle as MediaMonkey with their OS. Many consider it clearly better, yet the general public defaults to Windows.

I've found that only serious music lovers seem to know about MediaMonkey and it has a good rep with them even if they don't use it.
If the rule you followed brought you here, what good is the rule.

Got to agree with those comments. For me, MM3 is by far the best. :D
