HELP! HOW TO SAVE THE SAME SONG in TWO DIFFERENT PLAYLISTS?
Here's the thing, every time i have this particular song in "PLAYLIST A" that is also found in "PLAYLIST B" on my MTP device Media Monkey automatically removes the song in "PLAYLIST A" only to be found in "PLAYLIST B".
I want to have the same song in BOTH PLAYLISTS (A & B).
Is there a fix or a workaround for this? Thanks!
I'm experiencing this problem using my MTP device (Creative Zen Micro & a Nokia Handset)

What device, what version of MediaMonkey, and how are you syncing? This is definitely not something that is supposed to happen.

Try instead setting up the device options and use "Auto-sync".

NH, I think you can say only 'not desired'. It's certainly known behaviour - see http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 19#p125919 - and I've not seen MM Devs confirm that it is supposed to be otherwise.
T-tard, this happens on all MTP devices I've tried inc. Creative ZEN. The workaround is I think to put track-sharing playlists in the same sync operation, and unfortunately due to the failure the MM's parent list Send to..., the only way I know to do this is through auto-sync.
Clarification: ... and then DO NOT sync any smaller group of playlists e.g. one playlist, unless you know it shares no tracks with any other.

You're welcome! Good luck, and do share your results with us fellow beleaguered MM-MTP users!

Indeed! I'll definitely spread the word! =)
I hope the MTP issue gets addressed in the next MM version (fingers crossed)!
MM is such a great software, it handles all my tagging/mp3 organizing needs, it's up there with (the now dead) Musicmatch Jukebox!

yep its the auto sync you need to do.
some place in the forum here i posted how i do it.
but in short.
make a playlist. then make sub playlists in that one. check only that one playlist in the auto sync options.
then check all its sub playlists. you can make new sub playlists or remove them any time but you have to make sure to un select and select them in the autosync's options for your device.
the auto sync device's options will NOT auto select or un select new playlists or old playlists.

RD, I think that use of a parent playlist is redundant. Certainly I have found in auto-sync, ticking a parent of only playlists has no effect.
