I just discover this script! That great job. Thanks
I just wanna if it's possible to seperate informations contained in a field to create distinct node.
For example, the field composer contains 'Dr. Dre, Scott Storch'.
When I create a Magic Node for composer, I have the node 'Dr. Dre, Scott Storch' and I would like to have two seperate node 'Dr.Dre' 'Scott Storch'.
Hi Chipito. Unfortunately that is not possible. It has been discussed, and it seems too difficult to implement .
MarS, the next version will have a media field.
Adding an album art type is also a possibility.
I'm back so now I'll resume the development of the script .
Album Artist|child of:artist\<Album Artist>\<Album|Sort Order:asc>
all i want is:
Album artist
Album
and then to display the tracks in number order as well as album order. however, it doesnt want to do this at the moment, it does some in order, just others (a lot of the time it is ones with multiple artists, but the same album artist). can anyone help please?
The way it is now I have child nodes with dates that sorts nicely ascending or descending. But when I select the top level node to show all songs that were added within the 14 day period they are not sorted by date in the main-track-window. Is it possible to automatically sort them by the date they were added? Or is it only possible to sort the nodes and not the files in the node? If not, is there other scripts out there that can do it?
I have a similar problem with another magic node I've made that shows the songs only in a specific folder. The child artist nodes are in alphabetical order but not the artists in main-track-window.
It's really irritating that I have to click on the artist column every time to sort the songs by artist.
Please tell me there are a solution to my sorting needs..
Zebulon, currently you can't force the order of tracks in the tracklisting with the script. But this will be implemented in one way or another in the next version (hopefully coming soon).

Would it be possible to combine two fields. I want to have a node called 'Super-Artist', where each entry has all the songs that that person is either the Artist or the Album Artist for.
An example would be the Shrek 2 soundtrack. Currently I've got Frou Frou as the artist for one of the songs, and Shrek 2 as the album artist. I want to have two nodes, one for Frou Frou, which would display all of their tracks (including their own album) and one for Shrek 2 (With all of the songs from that album).
Currently the MM artist node is pretty close, in that the node for Frou Frou is correct and the node exists (for Shrek) but you then have to navigate to the album within shrek.
Example of what I want:
Root Node
|
|-Frou Frou (root node)
Frou Frou Song 1
Frou Frou Song 2
Frou Frou Song 3
|
|
|-Shrek 2 (root node)
Frou Frou Song 2
Counting Crows Song 1
|
|
Does that make any sense, and if os, is it possible?
That's not currently possible. May be it could be implemented, but I'm not sure it would make a big difference to have such a node. If you want to listen to Shrek 2, you can use the album node, and if you want to listen to Frou Frou you can use the artist node. Am I missing something?
I've downloaded magic nodes and put the script in my Scripts\Auto folder. When I launch MediaMonkey the menu items show up fine in the Edit menu. However, when I select "Create Magic Node" and enter a mask in the dialog box, there's no "Okay" button or something similar to tell the script to accept the input mask. <Enter> doesn't seem to work and if I just close the window no new magic nodes appear.
