1225: Losing current track album art on start [#5500]
I just installed 3.1.0.1225, and here's one glitch I noticed:
When I open MM, the track that was playing last when closing MM doesn't have album art. All other tracks display album art, but not that track that was playing last. I can play many track, come back to the problem track and it still doesn't have album art.
But the problem seems to be in memory only, as it only affects the track in the current session. If I play another track, close and reopen MM, the track from last time now has album art, and now it's the new track that played last that does not have album art... (hope you follow this). So the tracks don't really lose their association to the album art.
All my tracks are simply linked to the album art file in the album folder.

Where doesn't it have Album Art? In the Player, Album Art Window and/or Album Art tab in the Track Properties window?

Everywhere you mentionned. It really looks as if the link to the album art was lost. But as I said, when closing MM while playing a different track and starting MM again, the track that seemed to have lost its album art has it again, and now it's the one that played last when closing that is missing its album art.Lowlander wrote:Where doesn't it have Album Art? I can't reproduce, but I use embedded art instead of external art.

I tried with version 3.1.0.1227, the problem is still there.
Re: Losing current track album art on start in 3.1.0.1225
I notice the same problem. I'm using 3.1.0.1227 but it was present in previous versions. The album art for the last played track does not display when starting MM. All tracks are FLAC, stored in folders by album, with the album art in a folder.jpg file in the same folder. I do not have art embedded in the tracks.

Re: Losing current track album art on start in 3.1.0.1225
I can confirm this problem.
Problem existed here for quite some time, I can always reproduce it (missing after each and every startup o MM), I use external album art (i.e. folder.jpg in folder), using mp3 files.

Re: Losing current track album art on start in 3.1.0.1225
I have the same issue with 1228:
It happens with mp3 and flac files. The album art is tagged as external (stored as folder.jpg), not saved in the song file itself.

Just a small note to mention it still behaves like this with version 3.1.0.1229.

I tested this out with build 1231 (to be posted later today) and can no longer reproduce. Please confirm that the issue is resolved.
Thanks.

I concur, the bug still exists with 3.1.0.1236 despite the fact that Mantis shows that the bug is resolved.rycher wrote:Also still applies to 1236.

It's fixed in 1237 which is not released yet...
