The annoying scrolling track name

Post by Philby »

Could you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add a configuration Option that will allow the user to determine if he/she wants to allow the current track name to scroll in the Player control. This can be really annoying, but I think not too difficult to implement !

The more I use MM the more I like it. I just uninstalled MusicMatch Jukebox !

Keep up the good work.

Yes, and for those qho like the scrolling, make it please in a way that the songname also scrolls in the caption of MM in the taskbar like in winamp... because the artistname along with the songname is often too long to be properly read in the taskbar... "Queens of the Stoneage" for example... :(

I don't have a problem with it scrolling while a song is playing, but I don't like how it scrolls even after you stop the player.

Yes,
Even if it must scroll, I agree that it should only be doing this while the track is playing.

No scrolling title, please

Please, a "no scrolling" option, a "no meters in player" option, a clock mode (perhaps the song length) that does not update every second, or perhaps a global "no extraneous motion, flashing, animation, etc." option.

If I am editing an audio file, I want to see VU meters that are clearly visible and large enough to judge values, not little bitty boxes. When I'm doing something else, they're a flickering annoyance that serves no purpose for me. In the rare case I'm troubleshooting my audio setup, they indicate that MediaMonkey is working and playing a valid file with audio, but that's all.

I realize I'm resurrecting an old thread, but I don't see any way to disable the scrolling track name in the player yet, so I'd like to add to the request to allow disabling it as well, similar to that of Winamp.

If there is a way now and I'm just missing it, my apologies.

a "no meters in player" option

If you are using MM 2.x.x then you can click on it to make it go away.
