Allowing the player to be independent

Post by emishi »

I am not sure if anyone brought this up. I tried to search but did not find any viable results.

It'd be nice to allow the MediaPlayer in MediaMonkey invoke independently from the main application. I have my mp3 associated with MediaMonkey and its a pain having the whole app pop up when I am just playing a song.

Why don't you use an external player? There's a bunch of good small players you can use to play your files. Once installed, disable the file assotiations in MediaMonkey (Tools->Options->General->File Types) and your player will pop-up instead of MediaMonkey.

It will not remove any MediaMonkey functionality.
