Automatically rate the speed/tempo

Post by mordan »

I find it boring to set the tempo.

Maybe there is a plug-in that already does that?

It's not a plug-in, but I use a program called MixMeister Analyzer http://www.mixmeister.com/download_freestuff.html

Once you run your tracks through the program you will have to do a re-scan in MediaMonkey for those tracks so that the database will pick up the changes.

I find it surprising with a lot of songs that they will have a high BPM, yet the song tempo doesn't seem that fast to me. Hopefully, though, this program will help you.

This is a very good program which I recommend. However it does double the BPM of some songs if there is a complex beat.

Unfortunately it is primarily for mp3s. I don't know the complete list, but as far as I'm aware, OGG is not supported. Check on the mixmeister website.
Download my scripts at my own MediaMonkey fansite.

I suppose they just use mp3s so they didn't bother to code for any others. It's just a different type of tagging isn't it.
