Personally, I can live with the glitch because I like this skin over others. However, I ponder why a skin that comes with MM is somehow broken by a change made in the late 3.1 betas. That or if someone could clarify why these are breaking so we could go in and fix the skins would be most helpful.

Either way, I'll live with it if there's no solution.
they did some updates on the skinning engine this last time, doing the beta testing. so changing or adding some things to the theme engine has always made my skins need re compiled with the new program installed. it does not seem to make any sense to me either, since the theme engine has no need for monkey to be running when we make the skins. but i've had to do that with all my mm 3 skins i've ever made which is why i waited until the mm 3.1 was released as stable. i don't think they update the defaultly installed skins all the time, but if the mess up in the skins is because the program is looking for new codes that were added doing the updating then the older skins don't have that code. and will mess up like the mm 2 skins did when we were converting them and they did not have all the codes for mm 3. that is the only thing i can find that might cause trouble with the non updated skins being used.
but as nohitter151 said it is a program error on the vistas and windows 7. but why it seems to be a skin error on xp pro sp3 is beyond me? :-?

update on this white square bug

i have got it now on the new release of mm 3.1.1.1261

i believe i have figured out what is going on.

this is in deed the nc area image.

it is showing up because of either the child window code in windows is telling it too since the explorer tree is now acting like a child window or the code for the nc area in the mm program is showing up because it does not see the tree is now acting like a child window. which one it is i don't know. but i think informing the code that is causing it that the nc area is already shown, will stop it. :)

another update on it.

i've been checking it out and it seems to show up only on skins that were created by using a theme.mskn file that was converted from mm 2.5
as it does not show up when starting a skin made from mm 3.0 theme.mskn files
and it only shows up on the music tree window so it has to be the code for that window only. as if it was the programs code for all windows then it would show up on all vertical slides, but it does not.
:-?

Hmm, I always had these white square when using the default themes included in MM 3.x. I can confirm that they (only) appear on the scroll bar of the main window, but one time I had a white square on the scroll bar on the left (when the list was expanded; however, this happened only once). It's also interesting that these squares only appear if I close MM from the tray (at least for me).

So how can this be fixed? Is it the theme or MM?

its a code messed up in monkey i was thinking. but since it only seems to effect the converted mm 2 theme.mskn files on my system it might just be something in the theme engine that petrcbr needs to fix?

but the square is most definitely the NC area image in the theme.mskn file, :)

they been removing the old default skins now and then i did some work in adding a balance bar to the blue glass skin. when i looked in it there was half the images not even in there, i don't know where the whole theme was being made from other then several 1 x 1 pixel squares in it and most the items were not in the theme mskn which is why i believe that skin is now gone. try using the new default one from nohitter151 vitrusblue and see if the squares show up then. i know he made that for mm 3.1 so it should not have the nc area bug.

several of my skins have it cause i used a converted mm 2 theme.mskn file in them. but most of my skins dont have it.

I'm using "Glided" and it's the theme I like the most ... Is there a chance that it will be updated? Or who is the creator? Maybe I can ask him. But I will try out the new version of nohitter151's theme to see if the squares appear again.

for some reason now more likely an update from microsoft? i get the nc area image out of place on all the mm 3 skins the converted and the non converted theme files. and so far only on the directory tree window.

but i am also getting the area for the the nc image to be located at as a transparent image it shows the letters
of the nodes that go past the right side of the tree when you scroll up or down. :-?

Just updated to 3.2.0.1294. First time it loaded up, I thought the white square glitch was fixed. Next time I loaded it up, the glitch was back. (The pixelated file list is my own doing, of course.)

its been fixed the last 2 updates of the last beta's for me. i think it is something to do with the debug version of mm do you have that yet? if so try going to the normal version. :)

Hmm. I don't think I'm using a debug version. I just downloaded the regular one from the download link at the top of the site.
