Hello
I’m a week old new lifetime member and I have to say i wish I had known about MM a month ago. I love the program and the extras the community makes .I've made the mistake of using iTunes to re work my 13000 songs. If I didn't need it for my iPhone I would be completely rid of iTunes. Ok I have a few questions. First my setups are XP machine (sever soon)and 2 win7 laptops. MM4 v1349 all with the same library files.
So here are my some of my issues that I need help with.
I want to edit on my laptop then move them to the other to PC’s. Can I copy the DB file from laptop 1 after editing is complete then update the DB as changes are made. Is this the correct method?
I’ve used MM to tag all of my mp3 with album art then moved the library to each machine. Now I have 3 copies of the album art in the each mp3 on 1 laptop. Why would this happen. Is it ITunes, and If I use art tagger will it get rid of these extra pictures? Also how would I keep them from coming back?
Also these same files have a bunch of numbers in the comment section of each file. I have tried to delete them but they come back also.
I try to use MB Picard last night not sure how to use it. But I did notice 4 lines of itunes comment is this my issue? Again how do I stop this?
Thanks for the help in advanced

mm4 is beta version yet you might be getting some issues from that.
but your triple images for album art i think might just be ipod or itunes. for that type of help check
with nohitter151 or i think lowlander might have some tips on that too.
there are others that use ipod but those two seem to be the ones in the forum the most and nohitter151 wrote mediamonkeys book on how to use ipods with monkey.

It's a bit more complicated: http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... w_computerw00dbutcher wrote: Can I copy the DB file from laptop 1 after editing is complete then update the DB as changes are made.
On the other hand most tags are stored in the files so just copying the music might be enough: http://www.mediamonkey.com/sw/webhelp/f ... erties.htm

Re: New Lifetime User Questions.
Is it all in the tag or are two of the art files linked? Most likely you had scanned the files in WMP, which generated folder.jpg and smallAA files, which were then associated in MM because you have "Scan track directories for album art" checked in MM options.w00dbutcher wrote:I’ve used MM to tag all of my mp3 with album art then moved the library to each machine. I believe your right. I did open my library in WMP.I have disable it now Thanks.nohitter151 wrote:Is it all in the tag or are two of the art files linked? Is it common for the comment section to automatically populate random 0000 and numbers? or is that form WMP also??
Re: New Lifetime User Questions.
If I remember correctly that is from iTunes.

Yes I think its the values of the iTunes Sound Check. iTunes stores them in the comments field.
