Dancing Girl (plug-in)

Post by Felix Atagong »

Anybody knows if this works, and if yes, how to install it on MM?

http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=146758

The installer looks for Winamp, that I don't have on my PC, and refuses to do anything further...

I want to avoid to have to install Winamp, install the plug-in, move the plug-in to MM, and then uninstall Winamp 8)

This has been covered before-BUT here goes:
Create a Folder named WINAMP. In the folder - Open Notepad and create a file called Winamp.exe. That is it. When you go to do your install just point the installer to the folder and it will see what it is looking for. I went so far as to type in a single line in the file containing winamp.exe and then closed and saved as winamp.exe. Works just fine with my pluins.

Merry Chanukkah and Happy Christmas everyone :)

yep just you can also put the fake winamp exe in the monkey's folder too that would make one less step in the setting up of the plugin as it would just go there :o

hmm, I installed it to winamp and then copied the folder 'MojoMasterMedia' (I found that one in winamp/plugins) to mediamonkey/plugins. But 'she' doesn't show up in de configuration settings for visuals? What do I wrong?

Don't forget to copy the file vis_MojoMaster.dll too. That's the actual plugin that starts the visualisation.

But this is actually easier (if you don't have winamp):
you can also put the fake winamp exe in the monkey's folder
By making a file called winamp.exe in MediaMonkey's folder, you can use the MojoMaster installer to install the plugin for MM. In that way, the installation is fast and simple, and you also can uninstall the plugin with the accompanied uninstaller.

Nothing to do with MM of course, but I only see shadows and not the girl. Apparently this is a common problem with some video cards. I have all the latest drivers for my screen (Dell digital 1702FP), videocard (Radeon 9700) and DirectX 9.0c, but alas no bikini... :(

Felix,
I have searched ATI site for some other problem of mine, and I have noticed that Some ATI Cards Supplied with DELL can have some little problems. Also I have noticed that most of that problems are solved if Driver is Downloaded from Dell site instead of ATI.
Do not take me 100% sure but you should try.

OMG, I have the same problem, I can't see the girl!

I also have a ATI Radeon 9700, but it's a mobility version.
They don't recommend me to install a non-manufacturer-adapted driver version, so I guess I'll have to wait for some other (real?) girls.

Cheers

I used a Radeon compatible driver from Microsoft and because I couldn't see the girl I actually downgraded to the Dell-driver (that is actually quite old, well very old, in computer-age-terms).

But that didn't help either. Oh well back to the bouncing colours then...

UPDATE

I just downloaded the latest catalyst software from the ATI website and guess what... it works now... I just hope other softs will not start behaving strange... File in question is 5-13_xp-2k_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_29124.exe
