And why should we not be able to search for 'Year', 'Keyword' or 'Genre'. Missing Lyrics-Support? Strange, I believe this was not a really well-researched comparison.

It would also appear that MM hasn't got video capabilities or be able play back wav or wmv files either

Heh, but it speaks volumes that they still ranked #1 even though the reviewers obviously only managed to scratch the surface of MM's abilities (or used an old version to test?)

Or maybe they compiled the feature table using data from the "Comparison of media players" (or something) page on Wikipedia? I noticed that that one was also quite out of date and incomplete, but I didn't have the time or motivation to update it.

It does say that they tested v 3.2. It doesn't say why they tested an old version, though.

EDIT: They also tested an old version of ZenPoint Music Center. No doubt the other software is also older versions.

they test what can be considered stable versions of the programs most the time its 2 versions back that are considered stable and work on 98% of the op systems in use at the time of the reviews.

doing that is the only fair way of making a good review.
