Seems to work well. Download page gives trouble as lycos banner is over the link, lol.

Good job!

I know, just add some new lines before the download link and there shouldn't be any problem.

OK you guys and girls I'll make Small app that will allow to select what DB you wanna use and after that it will Start MM :) Only Thing You will need is to change Shortcuts to start that app instead of MM itself.
Best regards,

What will be the difference between your program (Peke) and Onkel Enno's one?
Extensions: ExternalTools, ExtractFields, SongPreviewer, LinkedTracks, CleanImport, and some other scripts (Need Help with Addons > List of All Scripts).

Multiple library support

Postby fisketjon » Fri May 12, 2006 4:36 am

All the suggestions for multiple libraries seems to imply that you want to keep the libraries separated. I would like to see support for multiple libraries in such a way that you can compare libraries, find differences, merge libraries by specifying preferred library in case of duplicates.

What's the reason to have multiple libraries if you want to merge them. Just scan all the files in one library and use the duplicate functionality to filter out duplicates.

Merging librarys with duplicate/semi-duplicate files is very tedious.

Neither the 'duplicate content' nor the 'duplicate titles' offers a very efficient way to figure out which files to keep/delete.

That mainly depends on size. Smaller libraries will not present huge problems. I have a somewhat bigger library and have been busy with it for 5 years and I'm only half way.

totally agree with this need:

Basic to database management of data is the ability to sort it using RELATIONAL tables and queries

Just about ALL really useful management tasks and queries are best served using a relational model:

IE. comparing two tables or databases

If MM is going to be the absolute best way to manage digital audio, it needs multiple databases for purposes of comparison

Please - there is a huge need out there not only for personal use but for business use, right now i have a business where i am constantly searching for better ways to manage it all and i end up using 5 different applications

I need simple effective ways to compare and query and I know im not the only one

,.

I've been after something like this for a while.

However, I can't extract the files on your linked page.

http://mitglied.lycos.de/onkelenno/MediaMonkey/SelectLibrary.zip
http://mitglied.lycos.de/onkelenno/MediaMonkey/SelectLibrary%20KeepReg.zip

WinRAR gives "Unexpected end of archive" error.

Can anyone help?

SelectLibrary.zip should work (it does for me).
SelectLibrary KeepReg.zip is now included in SelectLibrary.zip
