Hi, please excuse me if this is already mentioned in the forum. I did a short search but didnt find anythign related to this.
Recently some of the skins that I have been using on MM4 don't seem to look the same as they used to just at the top of the player. The theme of the skins would continue all around now they just seem to stop off at the top and then the 'aero' theme of windows turns up as though it has priority over the MM skins.
I dont recall changing any settings and even some newly downloaded skins either work fully or end up in the same way.
Anybody come across the same issue or is it just me? Isthere a fix?
I have provided an image, the one on the left is a skin called 'Eclipse 3' that works and the one of the right is my favourite called 'noir green' which doesnt look as it should. There shouldnt be any grey at the top, it should be black and green similar to the one on the right.

Some skins support aero and others don't show it. It depends on the skin.

okay thanks, its just that it did 'support aero' before. So i guess its some kind of upgrade thats affected it.
The original maker of the skin has made another similar skin and that works perfectly... so I dont have a clkue whats going on.

Either the author changed the skin or you installed a MM3 skin for MM4.kmunki wrote:okay thanks, its just that it did 'support aero' before. So i guess its some kind of upgrade thats affected it.

Re: perfect MM4 skins now look wrong
Possibly. Maybe I did not notice it on the switch over to MM4 because I would have been using a different skin at the time.
Re: perfect MM4 skins now look wrong
I had a similar problem, I posted about it. Ultimately, it came down to settings of the skin as programmed by the devloper.
Just try the steps from Nohitter in this post, should sort it for you.

Brilliant, thank you it worked. Now all I have to do is go through all the skins and 'fix' them.
Thanks for your help

Hi all, me again.
Although this fix worked for .msz files.
How do you do it for .mmip files?
I used the below instructions to try and edit .mmip files as you would for .msz.
Within .mmip there is a .msz file, so I edited that as per the usual way and zip them both back into their rightful file types but it didnt work.
Any ideas?
-Find the skin file that you want to disable aero for.
-Change the file's extension from .msz to .zip.
-Unzip the file into a folder the same name as the skin.
-Open the folder and open the file "Settings.ini" with notepad......etc

Re: perfect MM4 skins now look wrong
Which skins. Try asking the skin author if they will do it for you.
Or if they stopped updating the skin.
Because if they update it after you change it and they didnt change it, then your back where you started with the error.

Re: perfect MM4 skins now look wrong
Hi, I figured it out. I wasn't aware that MM started saving the .msz skin files in another location. Once I found them and carried out the previous instructions provided, I was able to disable the Aero affect on the skins.
(New) Skins are now saved in:
\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Skins
as oppose to:
\Program Files (x86)\MediaMonkey\Skins
Thank you
