Great Program with syncing, and...

Post by bradly1101 »

...I like the way MM handles my Galaxy S3's syncing. The player works well.

Since MM automatically separates classical music (which I like), it would be great to have 'By Location' (folders) on the main screen with "Artist' etc., so I could randomize all the music except classical by choosing the main folder.

I even use MM as the fastest means to check the status of the phone and card; the Samsung software takes forever to start up and connect. Now I can do it all in MM.

Great program!

Thanks for the flowers I know the developers will like them,

But I've got a request for you, there are several members with g3 phones that are having a hard time doing things with mm can you explain how you get it working so good in a step by step how to post for them?
Thanks. 8)

Yes. I for one am having continued troubles with wi-fi sync. This is on a 64GB card. It seems people have less issues on a 16GB card.

I have a Galaxy Note, and have never had a successful sync (i.e. complete -- especially playlists) to my 64GB card from MMW, with or without MMA. I haven't tried wifi sync yet, but I'm looking forward to it!

I wonder if the problem is that these devices don't really support 64gb cards. Officially (ie. from Samsung) I don't see it supported for the Galaxy Note or the Galaxy SIII, but have seen reports that it works.

When I purchased my Sg3 back in October I asked the guy if it would support a 64gig card. He said it would but suggested that I use a 32gig card as he thought it worked better.

With my 32gig card the sync has worked very well ... with exceptions as noted else where (sometimes sync doubles). I plan on trying a 64gig card tomorrow or friday and will report if i have any problems.

That would be great if you can provide this comparison. Thanks.

PS. Note that Samsung does state that the Galaxy Note II does support 64GB cards. Now I don't know if the 32GB spec for the other devices relates to the version of Android installed. Maybe Android 4.1+ is required for this to fully work.

Note that I have plenty of sync issues with a 32GB card in the Galaxy Note.

I'm just throwing a ball in the air, I don't know if the Android version matters in the 64GB card support. I don't know why any size card isn't supported in all devices in the first place.

Lowlander ... I'm with you. I have been in development since 1980 and have seen time and time again what happens when you write in 'limits' to your routines. Perfect example was the Y2K fiasco ... it was a great way for some of us to make a lot of money, but it really was an unecessary thing.

In this case, 32 vs 64 ... what could someone be thinking here. Only if you have a hardware limitation (address bus) should there be a limit. And the SW should be able to automatically determine what it can and can't do. I believe that SG3 is capable of accessing 64gig.
'specially with the speed of change in this (phone, tablets and computers) environment.
