[BUG] Audiobooks Albums not showing Tracks [#11032]

Now I noticed that the sane problem appear with podcasts... MMA changing their type to "Music" when syncing over Wi-fi

I've tested this with MMA 169 / MMW 1662 and cannot replicate any of the issues described above:

- audiobook tracks appear in MMA, and are playable
- audiobooks sync with all genres intact, including multiple genres (note: the fact that audiobooks don't appear in 'Genres' node is intentional--they're treated as a distinct collection)
- audiobooks sync to the Audiobooks 'node' even if no tag with genre=Audiobooks exists

Is anyone still experiencing problems with Audiobook synchronization?

After a quick check this seems to be resolved in MMA 169 / MMW 1662.

Hi guys,

I have been experiencing problems with audiobooks and MMA for a long time now (I've been using MMA since it showed up in the play store). But one day they just disappered and I didn't investigate the issue anymore. Then I got myself a new phone and flashed Android 5.0.2 on it and trouble returned.

I am using MMW 4.1.4.1709 and MMA 1.0.7.0313.

Playing around a little bit with MM hoping to be able to see my audiobooks in MMA I just found out that mp3 audiobooks show up without any problem under "Audiobooks" in MMA. But when I synchronize m4b audiobooks, they still end up in the same directory on my SD card, but they don't show up under "Audiobooks".

In both cases the genre contains the string "Audiobook" , the media type is "Hörbuch" (german word for "audiobook") and in MMW (when browsing my phone) they show up under the Hörbuch (audiobook) branch.

Edit: I am experiencing this when synchronizing via cable. When I synchronize via Wi-Fi, the m4b audiobooks do show up under "Audiobooks" in MMA.

Hi Andz,

I'm unable to replicate with MMA Beta 1.1.0.402 / MMW 4.1.6.1736 . There have been a fair number of changes in both so you might want to:
a) try updating to the latest version of MMW and retest
b) update to the latest version of MMA (1.1.0 is expected to be released later this week).

Not trying to brush you off--it's just that so many changes have been made...

I updated MMW to 4.1.6.1736 and something is working. Unfortunately I am not able to install the beta app. When trying to install I get

Unknown error code during application install: 505

Do I have to uninstall the stable app first?

Audiobooks synchronized via cable and Wi-Fi do show up in MMA now, but

• when synchronizing via cable:

• Sometimes some tags on the phone seem to mess up.

• Sometimes some tags in the tree view in MMW (browsing my device) seem to mess up.
• Let's say I have an audiobook with the song number 113 without any disk number. When synchronizing it is shown correctly in MMA. But when browsing my device in MMW the song number is 13 and the disk number 1.

I will give you a step by step example.

I have a radio drama collection I would like to synchronize. So I select three episodes and synchronize them manually with my phone (right click - send to - ...):


Now I browse my phone in MMW. Everything looks fine:


Then I look at my phone and there seems to be a problem with the artist tag:


Now I want to test synchronizing via Wi-Fi. I create a playlist called "Hörbucher" with four episodes:


I synchronize only this playlist and browse my phone in MMW. What happened to the tags?:


On my phone there are two entries for the same artist now:


The same thing happens without the "Unknown artist" problem, too (this screenshot is from another test run):

Thanks for the very detailed steps & screencaps. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I can't replicate it in MMA Beta 1.1.0.

To install the beta, you have to first uninstall MMA

Or you can wait until we release it--it should be today or tomorrow.
