This is more like my way of thinking, but I'm just checking out what's feasible at the moment. No plans have been made.

Not sure if it was mentioned already, but when I click the "Play Last" button, it enqueue's the album, but stops/restarts the current track...

This is a known issue and is already fixed in the next (unreleased) version.

:( I've seen mention of 'Bomb' function.

For the life of me I don't know what it means :-?

Just Flame away but explain on route.

Well at the moment if you set the ratings stars to Editable (in the BrowseByArt options sheet) then in the Playing node as you hover over the ratings, you can select a rating. However, the only selectable ratings are 0.5 to 5 stars. It has been requested that 0 stars (which is displayed as a bomb in MM) and Unknown are added. This is on my to do list.

Personally any tracks which deserve a Bomb I delete, so I never thought to include it in the rating! :)

I used to do the same, but in the end found it more desirable to keep full albums so you're not wondering "what happened to track x?". Also, I liked the balanced feel of a rating system which included both ends of the spectrum. "Good" doesn't feel as special without "evil" to justify it's worthiness... :P

ok, probably a very lame excuse

Then you'll be glad to know I'm working on some ideas for "evil" rating in the next version. :D

I have a couple of songs that are so bad that I keep them around out of morbid curiosity. :)

Case in point... William Hung's "Hotel California"

Something to consider for the next version(s).

In an effort to clean up my drive a bit, made browse by art and monkeyrok use the same art cache folder.

To prevent trix's backup script from constanly copying several megs of jpgs each time it runs, I did a search and replace on the script and changed the "artwork\" text to "..\..\artwork\" which puts it in the main mediamonkey folder.

Ie: \program files\mediamonkey\artwork\

Since monkeyrok lets you set the cache path in its options, I updated it to the above path so both scripts share the same artwork files.

I don't belive there should be any compatibility problems because both seem to use the album id for the jpg file name.

This saves me space and allows me to have one common album art folder, as well as a backup for any embedded tag art.

In summary, I suggest that browsebyart allow an option for user specificed cache folder, and personally I would suggest either the main mediamonkey folder, or "my music\artwork\" folder.

A common art cache/storage folder should allow for several scripts to use the art while saving space (assuming the scripts follow the album id naming).

I will certainly add this option to the next version. I'll leave the default where it is (as this is where most people's will be) but this should make it easy to change the options back to your prefered location.

New version (3.6) is now available from my website. Fixes/additions include...

- Fixed click action bug introduced in last version
- Fixed play last action restarts current song
- Fixed errors when refresh rate is zero
- Added option to show/hide/expand main node
- Added option to add navigation toolbar button
- Remove previously cached images before caching
- Added option to specify artwork folder
- Improved SQL efficiency for more details
- Fixed "Playing" displays non-album tracks incorrectly
- Added option to allow unknown and bomb rating in "Playing"
- Fixed click actions displaying behind artwork

N.B. Please make sure that if you want to move the artwork folder, that you do so using the new option, before deleting the default artwork folder created by the installed. This will ensure that your artwork folder has all the appropriate system images.

Please provide feedback so this script can continue to improve!:)

Well I noticed One more thing that could be usefull.
I mostly Backup Music on DVDs and have AA in tags so When I insert DVD and play song MM detect AA so why not include On Play event to Browse By Art to catch not Catched AA on play?
